The Skoda Octavia is a big family car which is equipped with good technology and can provide unbeaten performance. There are a lot of features that come with the Skoda Octavia like ABS and a double bed boot.
In some countries like India the Skoda Octavia is marketed as the Skoda Laura.
Currently the Octavia comes as a five door in two trims, the lift back and the estate. The Octavia comes with a long boot, spoiler, alloy wheels, adjustable steering and a double galvanized body. The Skoda shares its technology platform with Audi, Seat Leon and Volkswagen Passat. The Skoda Octavia sports a new Configuration range similar to the Volkswagen vehicles and the body changes that include increased leg room at the rear. An off road version is also due to release from the Skoda Auto called the Octavia Scout which will sport the estate body style trim and a Haldex four wheel drive.
This four wheel drive is based on clutch based center differential and computer controlled. The Skoda Octavia comes with various Configurations like the 1.4 MPI which gives an output of 75 bhp and the 1.6 MPI with 102 bhp. The 1.6L DOHC Configuration can do 0-100km in about 12.2 seconds.
